Early Traits…..

As a seven year old, created a sensation in the family of music connoisseurs by singing “Manam Kulira….” of M.S.Subbulakshmi with absolute fidelity.
Was a voracious reader of literary classics in English and Tamil even as a child. A fan of Kalki’s “Sivagamiyin Sabatham”. Had penned short stories even at ten something.
Was talented with the paint brush and canvas too and bagged prizes for the same.
Participated in high school dramatics.
Bagged the first Prize at “Culture Cauldron”, an inter-school competition conducted by Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan School.
Got the first Prize at the All India Music Competition for the Youth, organized by “Seva Chakra”
As a student of Madras Christian College, Chennai, bagged the First Prize in the inter-collegiate cultural fests of IIT Chennai, REC Trichy, and other institutions.
Also associated with SPICMACAY under the auspices of which organised a performance of Pt. Shivkumar Sharma on the santoor, at MCC campus.
After College, completed a two year diploma course in Computer Systems Management from NIIT, Chennai.
A member of YACM (Youth Association Of Classical Music) and contributed to its Newsletter, “Dhwani”.
